Kelly Scott
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Kelly is a dedicated professional with over 22 years of experience in retail management and customer service. In 2021, Kelly and her family made the delightful move to Tsawwassen, where they instantly fell in love with the South Delta community. Kelly thrives on engaging with her community and giving back. Her deep appreciation for a flexible work schedule enables her to strike the perfect balance between work and family life while continuing to make a positive impact on the people around her. With two young kids aged 4 and 2, Kelly is not just a retail expert but a family-oriented community enthusiast, enriching the lives of those she meets.

Warren Dean Flandez
PRESIDENT
Warren Dean Flandez is a two-time JUNO-nominated musician who has been a proud resident of Tsawwassen since 2014. He is the owner of the local businesses Studio Cloud 30 and The Clear Umbrella Consulting (TCU). Beyond his business ventures, Warren plays an active role in community leadership and engagement. He currently serves on the Delta Police Board, the BC Alliance for Arts + Culture, and is a faculty member at Capilano University. In 2020, Warren co-founded the local non-profit organization, The Harmony Initiative Society (THIS), dedicated to community restoration. In his spare time, Warren enjoys spending time with his wife and children at the local Tsawwassen beaches.

Jill Presley
VICE PRESIDENT
Jill joined the board of directors for the TBIA in March 2023. Jill grew up in Tsawwassen and has seen many great changes in our sunny community. Jill joined the team at Tsawwassen Springs in 2015 starting in the real estate division and now focuses most of her time on community engagement and marketing. Jill has been in the hospitality industry for 25 years and holds her Hospitality Management Diploma and Esthetics Diploma. Jill is excited to use her knowledge to benefit the local community and businesses.

Simon Griffiths
SECRETARY
Simon plays a large role with Barbican Property Management Group, a division of Century Group. Simon’s appreciation for the outdoors and the closeness of a tight knit community like Tsawwassen led to his decision to get involved in the community on a larger scale and join the TBIA Board. As someone who works closely with many different businesses, Simon’s commitment to helping business grow and flourish in Tsawwassen has played a large part in his role with the TBIA. Simon equally appreciates the fantastic golf scene, beautiful beach and amazing bakeries Tsawwassen is lucky to have!

Tamara Standerwick
TREASURER
Tamara has enjoyed living in Tsawwassen for over thirty years. While raising her family here, she volunteered on sports and education committees. She also took an active role in promoting good oral health, while working as a manager/part owner at My Tsawwassen Dentist. The community benefited from annual April distribution of toothbrushes to every local elementary student, Christmas Tooth Goody Bags to every local business and closest to the Tooth prize sponsorship for local charity golf tournaments. Now retired from My Tsawwassen Dentist, Tamara volunteers on various community committees and she is collaborating with Bayside Auto Sales to continue to promote community initiatives.

Sarah Sawyer
TBIA BOARD
Sarah has been a lifelong resident of Tsawwassen since she was 1 year old, graduating from South Delta Secondary in 2015. Throughout her life in our town, Sarah has been involved in the community playing on a variety of sports teams through her childhood. She has been in the grocery business since the age of 14 and is now the manager of the local Meridian Farm Market. In addition to growing her career locally, her deep routed connection to Tsawwassen has influenced her passion to not only take on the role as Vice President of the Board of Directors in May 2023, but to continue to give back to the community and help local businesses thrive who make Sunny Tsawwassen the wonderful community we are lucky to call home!

Randy Scott
TBIA BOARD
Randy is the longest serving TBIA Board Member dating back to the organization’s foundation in 1991. Randy is the owner and operator of local automotive repair, Randy’s Tire in addition to Bayside Auto Sales. As a long serving president of the TBIA, Randy has dedicated a large amount of his free time to the organization. Whether it is hanging Christmas lights across town, sponsoring member and community events or helping others around him, Randy’s dedication to the town of Tsawwassen is unmatched!

Heath Newman
TBIA BOARD
Carrying on a family business, Heath alongside his family operate Newman’s Fine Foods, who expanded their European Butchery to the beautiful Tsawwassen Town Springs. In addition to supplying fantastic, high quality meats and sandwiches, Heath’s love for the small town of Tsawwassen upon bringing his family business into the town played a major role for in him joining the TBIA. Heath is excited to see all the wonderful locally owned businesses like his family’s play pivotal roles in the community they serve and strives to do his part with the TBIA to help them grow, thrive and succeed.

Sara Kirby
TBIA BOARD
Originally from Airdrie, Alberta, Sara is a graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition at the University of Alberta and a Doctorate of Optometry at the Pacific University. Sara operates locally as an optometrist at the Tsawwassen Optometry Clinic. In addition to her work, Sara has a young family as her and her husband, Owen, have two daughters and a son; Madeline born in 2015, Hannah born in 2017, and Charlie born in 2020. Sara’s commitment to the local community involves being a past member of the Rotary Club in addition to a current TBIA Board Member in which she is passionate about ensuring the growth, sustainability and success of Tsawwassen’s local businesses.

Daniel Boisvert
CITY OF DELTA LIASION
Daniel Boisvert has lived in Tsawwassen for the past 8 years and grew up in Ladner. He has called Delta home for more than 50 years. Daniel has two children, Noah and Abby, who are currently high school students at DSS and his wife Sandra is the General Manager of the Tunnel Town Curling Club in Delta’s south end.
Daniel was commissioned as Notary Public in May of 2008 and has a busy legal practice in Delta.
Daniel is a past Director of the Society of Notaries Public, the public regulator of Notaries, and was elected to serve three terms. In 2019, he left the Board of the Society to head up a new advocacy and continuing education organization for BC Notaries called the BC Notaries Association (BCNA). He is currently the President of the BCNA.
In October of 2018 during the municipal elections Daniel was elected to the Delta Board of Education where he last held the position of Vice-Chair of the Board. Daniel believes the enhancement of public education is vital to the positive advancement of society.
In October of 2022 Daniel was elected to Delta City Council to serve a four-year term.
